* The R I V E R Poem by Inner Whispers

* The R I V E R

Rating: 3.0

Continuously flowing, waters undeniably refreshing
Unpredictably goes in raging and rushing speed,
To the rocks it splashes with rythmic harsh sounds in my ears
It echoes like a song of memories of the past...
tHe RIVER...

Barefooted, splashing the waters, as I sit on a rock
Searching for anyone who will pass to witness my act,
But alas! No one can see me as I sneak to the deepest part,
The water is calling me, I have to surpass the fear in my heart...
tHe RIVER...

Holding my breath, I plunge, letting myself fly from thy vastness cry
But BLACK WATERS lure my breath, found out I can't fly,
Rather swim like a mantra, wiggle a longest patient tail,
Flip gracefully and to play with the current I should play and dwell...
tHe RIVER...

A saviour took me and grabbed me, pulled me where I must be
And said, 'Damn you, girl, what has gone in your head? ! '
Poking me and he added, 'hardheaded girl, why you didn't tell me? '
My father was the saviour, as always when he was with me...
tHe RIVER...

I had many swims from the current of this life
Some waters are still, some are raging like fires,
Yet in these rivers where I made a pact
I have learned to swim with my greatest fight and might!
tHe RIVER...

Many a river will still flow, within my life it will show
Even it causes me trauma embracing it's flow,
I am most willing to still learn to swim, go with the current
Either in it's raging splash of life or in the stillness of life's occurrence...
tHe RIVER...

Who will dare to be my saviour again, hmn?
