The Queen Of Queries

Just what will she ask today
And where will the answers be written
Riddled and puzzled untying knots
Lasso leashed in stamping question herds
Dust whirling behind wind spin yes and no
Alternative wh-aches soul craving alone

Just when will she say it’s ok
Self-reconciled even if lip bitten
All doors open amidst the draughts
A beam of sunshine piercing the worlds
Chasing us high chasing us low
A jewel cut shiny solid precious stone

poet John Clare

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
