The Purple Gown Poem by Manu Bansal

The Purple Gown

Rating: 5.0

when the thunder strikes and the rain pours down
i think of you in the purple gown
anticipating the pain of love
hailstorms meet the grass so rough..

lightening fades the sky still bright,
makes me wonder in the sleepless night,
mesmerizing the garden aisle,
the grass is green or the ground is white?

love is timeless that i can bet
`cause, such a little is the time they get,
its like leaving before they met
the melting snow and the grass still wet,
but the grass still happy and the snow still sweat...

the sound for me is entertaining,
hailstones facing the iron railing,
they strike and break but a`int stop raining,
the pain for love, but no regret..

the time still moves and the clock still clicks,
a lonely beast in the jungle of bricks,
remembers tonight those eyes brown...
when the thunder strikes and the rain pours down,
i think of you
in the purple gown...............
