The Proud Creature Breathes And Lives Poem by Raj Arumugam

The Proud Creature Breathes And Lives

Rating: 5.0

the proud creature breathes and lives
and all it does is copy, copy, copy, copy;
there is so much thinking
done before and after
there is so much that points to
its original mind;
yet the creature wants to be a copycat
wants a servile life
wants a copy of pronouncements
and revelations
it can believe in
and merely repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat;
so it can wobble its head in complacency
and eye-scan the world in judgment

I'm sure I know what this is about. Because there's nothing else it reminds me of so succinctly. Yes, what curious creatures we are. Rather than sit and look around the world and try to learn all we can about it- some of us would rather be spoon fed memorized catechisms! Makes you wonder sometimes.

Be a copy cat temporarily to the neophyte where learning comes along with the inspiration. And having a great pattern of poetry or any skillful art...then as the style and passion of art has been defined and formed to his/herself, own format and style will have him at hand.....and to the PRO guidance and understanding must be blessed...its a hand to hand work....Thanks!
