The Proposal Poem by Matt Mondschein

The Proposal

With this ring,
I thee wed
It's more than a promise
These words that are said
I'ts an undying devotion
Built on love and trust
A sanctuary of faith
When the world is too much
It's a shoulder to cry on
A hand to hold tight
A blanket to warm you
Through a cold winters night
The times of our laughter
The hearts lonely tears
Our house of love
Has withstood each others' fear
You're the half of me
I've been looking for
A completeness of which
Wasn't known before
You've calmed my soul
And brought me to life
Help God bless me
By becoming my wife

A beautiful Proposal- One of love, sincerity, and what a marriage or life together should be about and feel. I honestly hope she will accept.....a good write.
