The Proposal Poem by Walter Lane

The Proposal

Rating: 5.0

Thou speaketh to me of
Love and Romance
Friendship, hope and joy

I speaketh to thee of
Happiness and marriage
Children, a girl, a boy

Thou speaketh to me of
loyalty and honor
Respect, from me to you

I speaketh to thee of
wonder and contentment
When you say, 'I Do'

I speaketh, you speaketh our
Ears they do not hear
For in our joy;

laughter fills the air

So speaketh no more my
Beauty, utter not a sound
The true love I've searched

That true love I've found
