The Prison Is Full Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Prison Is Full

Rating: 5.0

Reality remains
Humanity is put to shame
We enjoy and disregard
Not a whisper with word

She has been pushed
In the corner to be cursed
She is subjected to molestation
With good name of association

Person claims” it is with consent”
With more and more lies he presents
For the test to prove his innocence
He is repeating “no” with pretence

Where is she meanwhile?
She is in media file
Daily torture for cross questions
How and why was an attempt for molestation?

Influential man can terrorize
The woman employee can be forced to oblige
Surrender to his wishes in turn for favor
Not a slight care for her honor

Now rape on road is not rare
Students or employees openly dare
Drag the woman in moving car
After cruel attempt body thrown at far

Politicians and academicians rush to the scene
Not for woman but for journalist not to be seen
Thanks to the media and her own boldness
The culprit is brought to book and made to face

We have granted liberty and freedom
For name sake democracy is practiced with wisdom
Mighty and wealthiest occupy high positions
Poor and downtrodden suffer powerful combination

Laws are enacted only to violate
Loop holes are left only to escape
Big sharks can roam freely in ocean
The prison is full with ordinary man
