The Priests Loot The Worshippers In Puri (India) Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The Priests Loot The Worshippers In Puri (India)

The pot bellied priests thrashed a danseuse.
For that they won’t make their execuse.
They are bold pickpockets
and girls lose their lockets.
But to try rapes there’s no space profuse.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The priests in Puri Jaganath temple beat an Odissi dancer, Italy born
Ileana Citaristi to extort money from her. People from other States enter the temple with pockets full and come out with pockets nil. As there are ATM machines, they are saved from begging in streets. If priests from all the castes are appointed in that temple, these acts of cheating and looting can be abolished.
