The Prankster Poem by Lynn Stillman

The Prankster

Rating: 4.3

My mind can be quite the prankster.
Just as mischchievous as it can be.
When a little confidence decides,
to kick back and settle in,
it pulls the chair out from under me.

I can look at a color photograph.
Every detail true to life,
and easy for me to perceive.
Suddenly, the image is reversed,
and frame by frame,
it becomes clear,
the negative is easier to believe.

Hollywood thrives on the negatives. Clever imaginative poem!

A lovely write here Lynn! Your word choices are spot on, I must say I love the closing line! What a unique metaphor of using your mind as to how you see images and blame the mistakes on the mind playing pranks!

That's funny. It is easier to see this world in a negative light. Personally, I prefer to turn off the TV. Thanks, Mark Walters
