The Play Poem by moon dust

The Play

Your games are mere illusions
Things you really do not have
And I have come to this conclusion
Reality can be so sad
But the magic show is over
All the children have gone home
No longer waiting for the rabbit
Reality sank in long ago
And you,
You're still performing
From and empty stage
A solitary actor in the show
This play that you live in
These crazy masks that you have
No longer are they entertaining
Reality can be so sad
Go
The auditorium has grown cold
The final act ended long ago
Somewhere a woman and child wait
For their magician to end the show.
