The Platonic Poem by sunil kumars

The Platonic

Rating: 4.5

Your worth is much beyond these lines
Through you I had a glimpse of desire meeting happiness
Glimpse of how one is judged without being judgmental
You never kept me at the fringes of your existence
Took me away from vacant vacillations
Entrenched me into intricacies of some worth
I found solace in our uninhibited conversations
Nights felt like a serenade despite the intensity of emotions
We were there in unison realizing our follies
Shedding tears for even worthless
Feeling without being felt
Understanding the ambiguities of life with equanimity
For I felt your touch without ever being touched
Though initial trudge was with caution for the past
Had dealt us blows of misconstrued perceptions
Overblown sensations creating false notions and passions
As I stood one day naked in the anarchy of my foolery
Saw few thoughts as desperate as mine
Surrounded by the wilderness of the desert
Suddenly felt my loneliness of thought vanquishing
Through you I had a glimpse of truth meeting honesty
The reason why your nubility never mattered
You are much beyond gender
No tags attached just paradigm of unscrupulous attachment
We dwelled and pondered questions of life
We cried, we laughed
We had our losses, we had our victories
It was a romance without being romantic
I know we will also be the victims of time, responsibilities
Of social equations and distance
But the fragrance of your companionship
Will always douse the unintended heat of my frailties
Gem is what you were are and what you will be
My worth is just about realizing that……….
Fact that I see it and get it makes me feel special
Through you my living met life………..
Your worth is much beyond these lines

i sometimes wonder myself if the other person truly understands how it feels just to be around them even when nothing is said. an enjoyable read indeed.
