The pilgrimage

My stay at Tirucchi short and hectic
Only one day to go round the temples
The list was long time was short
My friend cum relative was of great help
He works for Government used his influence
Car with driver and a guide he arranged
Sri Rangam was the place topping the list
Lying on his right side leaning over hand
Lord Vishnu graces the world
Avoiding longer queue we went
through a row for a special view
After seeking His grace we went to Samayapuram
Goddess Durga grace the world in the form of Mariyamma
Her compassionate eyes, glowing face
made me forget everything
Obtaining her grace we proceeded
further to Thiruvaanaikkaval
The abode of Lord Jambukeswara
famed for His benevolence
Worshipping Him for a while,
we stood before His consort
Akhilandeswari the ruler of this Universe
in search of Her grace to seek her blessings
Next and final we went to Vayalur,
the abode of Lord Subramanya
Who grace with boons to those
who surrender with sincere devotion
Unlike the other temples here
the worship was peaceful
With no crowds to jostle with
and no guards to push away
All these temples mentioned above
not only divine and serene
But also of historical importance
built by kings centuries back
The sculptures speak of age old culture
that is unique with rich heritage
A must visit places to all those devout
to seek the grace of God in many forms

You are blessed by your trips. With all the grace that you carry, I must see you when you are back.
