The Person You Were Poem by Luca Menin

The Person You Were

A blue sky its white clouds and the sun colouring the world around
The breeze that blow in the fresh air
Touching my face I take a moment to breath
The view of the garden where the tree can talk
Waving farewell at the morning crops
The scent of nature and the winter burning smell
I close my eyes and I found myself
Walking from lands covered in snow to the awakening of the spring
my memories are wandering in this land of dreams.
Capture in a bottle floating in the seas reaching the shore
love make my heart wag like a tail of a dog.
So if you forgot the person you were
Just keep your eyes closed and take a breath of the world.
