The Permanent Shadow Poem by Zehra Irfan

The Permanent Shadow

Rating: 5.0

When everything is as straight as a line I do something that breaks the ruler. It's something so bad that I pinch myself harder every time I think about it. I have to move on but I can't, it's like I'm stuck in a shadow of thoughts, that doesn't disappear even when the sun sets.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem came to me during my math class. I was just sitting thinking about things I was very guilty about. My notebook was in front of me and then all of a sudden I had an Idea for a poem and quickly jotted it down.
