The Perils Of Our Passion Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

The Perils Of Our Passion

Words can get us killed
It's the perils of our passion,
When some powers could have willed
To grant us our assassination.

Yes our poems can be deadly
May irk enthroned politics,
Surprised they take us seriously
We rock some boats so to speak!

But Poets' words can live
Beyond the grave, can't be buried -
Written what we believe
Some truth there must have been carried.
