The Perfect Life (Revised) Poem by Barry Jablonski

The Perfect Life (Revised)

Rating: 5.0

I’ve never had the perfect life
And never found the perfect wife
I’ve never been able to own a lot
Been that way since I was a tot

But some who walk upon this earth
Have lived perfection since their birth
Descended from some Ancient Gods
Their genetic codes defied all odds

And though I’ve often wished for more
I’ve never found their exclusive store
From perfect parents, to perfect mates
The ones who never had bad dates

They live their perfect lives each day
And fill their desires at work or play
They live a life that’s been so blessed
How is it that I've failed their test?
