The Perfect Crime Poem by Paula Robinson

The Perfect Crime

Rating: 5.0

Your blade twisted in my heart
Scarlett spatters, work of art

No news reports on microfiche
No organs lying in a dish

No police cell, no prison time
My broken heart, the perfect crime

Hello there, I have a little question about this poem. For school I had to read this poem and answer some questions about it but my question for you is, does the poem actually refers to murder or does the broken heart refers to the end of a relationship?

Yes, this is perfect, all right: A perfect three-verse poem with tight couplets full of imagery and metaphor. I especially like this couplet: 'No news reports on microfiche No organs lying in a dish.' Bravo! alicia

A less than perfect crime. You definitely still have a beautiful heart and it shows in this great poem.
