The Pearl Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

The Pearl

Rating: 4.8

The pearl
- - - - - - -
Sometimes cramp
Sometimes spasm
And sometimes ache
Seemed overwhelm her soul
Shaking calmness a bit
Like the wave flooding the shore
Leaving it to look desolate
Yet in retreating amid griefs and pains
Left a pearl behind on her breast
Like a blossom from God's garden
The little angel all wreathed in smiles
Came when all the world were asleep
Bringing amid griefs and pains
To her basketful of smiles

I didn't get it.... Is it a mother giving birth to a baby which is sweet as an angel as the lashing waves leave on the shore a pearl oyster? Great imagery!
