The Peace We Need Poem by Joseph Walter Duggan

For I have lost all peace of mind,
For all the world has become unkind,
I fear so much, my mind is aching,
I fear all nations have been mistaking.

For this world needn't another war,
But rather, the peace we've had before,
And now I fear the loss of many,
All to place our bullet in the enemy.

O Lord, O Saviour, show us the way,
Change the way we live today,
For 'tis not that we are full of greed,
'Tis just, we long for the peace we need...
