The Past Poem by Heather Burns

The Past

Rating: 5.0

Some
say the past
is over and
through
forgetting is
the thing to
do

The past keeps
returning
faces appear
images of ones
we hold so dear

In the silence
of the night
memories just
won't take
flight

Visions
haunting so
sincere
Inside
silently a tear.

Learning is continuous process and valuable things can be learnt from the past and also in silence and tear. Nice poem. Thank you.
