The Passing Of The Greatest Champion Of All Time Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Passing Of The Greatest Champion Of All Time

Rating: 5.0

When many of my friends and I were children,
We wanted to emulate or mimic these three Great men:
The Incomparable Pelé, the Great Bruce Lee,
And the Greatest of all time: Muhammad Ali.

With tears in our eyes, and sadness in our heart,
We are mourning the passing of the Greatest Champion,
Who had fought heroically for an aeon the elusive Parkinson,
A degenerative disorder, which can tear anybody apart.

Muhammad Ali was the Champion of the Champions.
He had tremendous courage, and extraordinary toughness.
Without a doubt, Ali was the Greatest Champ of the stallions.
Ali personified style, charisma, class, strength and gentleness.

Our world has lost a man of peace, a bullhorn of unity,
A Giant of hope, a Poet who refused to be silenced,
In spite of losing the ability to speak so eloquently,
As the articulate Ali that the world has experienced.

Today is another day to ponder, wonder, and mourn.
Our world is in shambles. We are terribly pained by the passing
Of the Greatest Gladiator of all time. Our heart is woefully torn.
Today is unlike yesterday, as we're praying for God's blessing.

Allahu Akbar, Allah is Greater, God is Wonderful and Almighty!
With sorrow in our heart, we have lost the outspoken Ali.
Let's stop the superfluous bickering, seek true Peace and Unity,
Love our neighbors as we love ourselves, with serenity and sincerity.

What a wonderful tribute to the Greatest. Far more than just a Sporting hero, a man who was loyal to his Soul. Absolutely adored over here in England for his courage and gentleness. A true gentleman like Pele. Tom Billsborough
