People go through life
Trying and trying
To forget their past
To forget bad memories.

I know how hard
It can be
To forget the ones who helped you
And the ones who hurt you.

They sometimes get stuck in your head
They sometimes get stuck in your heart
They sometimes drive you completely insane
But they can never keep you from doing what you must.

These people in your past
You have had good times with them
You have had bad times with them
But there will be others who are better than them.

I know it may be very hard
To live on this one path
To have this one feeling
The pain of forgetting.
