The Outstretched Hand Poem by Sylvia Lukeman

The Outstretched Hand

Rating: 5.0

Can you understand
what the outstretched hand
is offering to you?

cut off from your friends
shut off from never ending
hustle
of the local shops

the bustle and then the flop
into that comfy chair
but now you are there all day

Can't you understand
that the outstretched hand
is one of friendship

is one to lend you support
don't be caught
on your own, all alone

reach o u t n o w
touch my fingers
nold my hand
now
