The Orb's Replenishing Decree! Poem by Seema joglekar

The Orb's Replenishing Decree!

Now, let the orb mock the corroding years that have given up,
The undertones of their diatribe, trying to stand between us,
Tear a gash in night's garb, throbbing not over its bygone ache,
But like the flushing cheeks of a bride, prod the blossoms awake,
Let them blaze a trail, redeemed under the Saint's golden vapor,
Stash my dreams like dew lies concealed in the chalice of the flower,
Stitching winter's quilt the meadows pick colors, over winter's scrolls,
Castings of a thwarted year lit in a bonfire; puny whimpers ‘n pettiness,
Endow their nectar so the bee breaks his fast, daring to transgress,
At winds piping music so silent, where only a restless heart agitates,
To the strains of a song pulsing far and near, pull at the heart strings,
Where the soul breathes, whispering hope to the dim distance,
Let this glance of dawn, a lover's gift, sit like a kiss on your brow,
Thus wearing the New Year's crown, reign over my heart, solace in stow
