The One That Got Away...
Searching deep
Digging to my heart.
Somewhere -Yes,
Here it is....
The words I want to write...
Like beautiful music,
Perfect notes and beats...
Then all of a sudden-
I'm left-
Incomplete.
What happened you say?
Did you not witness
the tragic moment?
When the words I composed
In my soul.
Found no place to lie?
In the magic
of my music,
The melody
of my thoughts...
In the sweet thoughts of daylight
Lives the midnight
of my soul...
Oh the poets- lamantations...
Nothing can be more despairing...
I forgot
to bring with me-
Paper and pen...
And sadly,
I tremble,
As the poem
of my heart,
slips away...
