The Ode of Farewell Poem by Matthew Edan Oliver Palma

It's useless to stay when my heart has gone away
So senseless to try for my mind has said goodbye
Quite futile to dare as my soul has heard its call
Too easy to quit since my spirit can't resist

The ode of farewell has overtaken my heart
The music that it sings has been imprinted in my mind
The ode of farewell has broken through my soul
The melody it brings has quenched my spirit's thirst for life
