The Ocean Swallows Another Day~~~ Poem by Chuy Amante

Softly dipping our light does dowse
Time to light up our fine house

Sun is resting under cover of night
No longer here, shedding the light

So we do light
our paths now
with candle, torch
or who knows how

All slows down and gently stops
except the hospital, fireman and cops

Fluff up the pillow, pull back the sheet
time to offer a loving sweet:

G-night to all right here or far
G-night to lovers in their car
G-night to family and all the friends
this is where this night ends.

Sleep well for a spell
and awaken in heaven
for sure not in hell with the heathen!
