The Ocean Poem by Clay Dubberly

The Ocean

The babies bones burn
As the trunk of the tree
Collapses in a haze
Of wheat, molasses, and mold,
Screaming the whole way thru
The town where
Mice and men and
Sinners and saints
Dive in the ocean
Where father's fleet paints
A mural of a dune called
Amazing grace, I once was lost,
But the roar of the lion was faint
And the grains of rice
Poured from the sky
Like ground-up oceans
Shattered like a porcelain doll
Writhing like an injured beast,

Silent

But

Sweet

Passionate! I really like this, beautiful writing. This is very well expressed, I like the emotions here. You're my favourite poet of the day. Keep on writing.
