The Night That You And Dawn Conspired Poem by Luke J. Holt

The Night That You And Dawn Conspired

Gruff cackle!
loud sound!
voices!
youre choking me with your neglect
imagine how hard it would be to breathe if you loved me

on your winged Converse you soar undetected
like a night sky rainbow
cloaked in dusk as dusk cloaks sails
your clear eyes hide behind plumes of onyx lashes
your tongue dances secretly behind your teeth
your plaything is not who you expected him to be
now chew your lip and gloat
because this well accepts only girls who fall for miles
