The Night Is Young Poem by Katherine Perry

The Night Is Young

Let's go out and have fun
Just forget about the day
Work was hard, but now it's done
Tonight is our time to play

Let's go here
Or maybe there
Anywhere is fine with me
The night is young, so who
really cares
As long as we can be who we
want to be

Maybe one drink, or maybe two
Whatever tickles your fancy
You can sit there and think
But i think i'll choose
The one in the back that's
dancing

Oh look over there
Don't they make a pretty pair
And then again maybe they don't
Cause i would look better
Standing next to that sweater
But there's others, so maybe i
won't

Turn the music up so i can hear
As long as it's loud and clear
And do not interupt
As i wiggle my butt
And oh, i think i'd like another
beer

Do you have the time
For there is not a clock on the
wall
For i'd like a glass of wine
Before they maqke it the last
call

Boy the night went by fast
And did you ever notice
That people look better in the
dark
For when the lights come on
Beware of the full moon that
doesn't last
Cause you may wake up with
someone who will bark!
