The Nigger-Fish

When fishing for a big-game fish don't throw back the nigger-fish

to do so makes nightmarish the wishes of what might a rigger wish

Toss in carp, crappy, eel, cat & walleye to make a much bigger dish

Get wise to a niggardly public who're apportioned to be sniggerish

Poet's Notes about The Poem

The great humors of medieval physiology: black bile, blood, phlegm, yellow bile, spew & ooze freely & copiously from the body politic to highlight dank absurdities and to service insatiable Mother Justice, let us, through trickery, torture & fright, exact confessions from prisoners. Let the usual business be the business-as-usual. Whomever achieves mastery over fiction first rules on high.

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
