The News Explained It To Me Poem by Vera Sidhwa

The News Explained It To Me

I woke up innocent this morning,
But my innocence was swept away.
I had to listent the news,
The way they gave it anyway.

There was violence,
There was a mess.
There was questioning humanities' nature.
And overall man's stature.

Should I stop listening to the news.
I can't. I need to know,
All about humanity's show.
