The Nepal Quake Poem by Kavya .

The Nepal Quake

Rating: 5.0

The ground beneath our feet shook
We got so perturbed by the natures look,
Our houses collapsed in front of our eyes
Our loved ones we saw in a box of ice.

What went wrong all of a sudden
In a fraction of a second everything was done,
Our dreams crumbled like a pack of cards
Before Mother Nature no one was barred.

The good, the bad, the evil, all fell into one pit
every religion, caste, creed of people got equally hit,
Its high time we as a human being realize this now
Death knows no boundaries, lets love we endow

Birth and death no one can ascertain
All go to one place, all turn to dust again!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sending thoughts of peace and prayer to those affected in the Nepal earthquake and have lost their near and dear ones.

Just a realization that before God we all have to bow, here the caste, creed, religion differences never arise. We all have risen from dust and will return to dust again.

We all are children of God, we all are the work of His hands. For though the mountains leave their place and hills be tossed to the ground, Gods love shall never leave us. God please show us your mercy and love, now and forever.

A humble request to ours and our neighboring countries to maintain peace and harmony within and spread the message of love and equality always. Amen.

As death has no boundary we must love each other including caste, creed and religion. Beautifully composed and revealed the painful sight of Nepal earthquake. Many thanks.

When ever such devastating natural calamities strike us, we think of death! If man is able to think of his own helplessness, he will be more bound to fellow men and more considerate to others needs! We live on Earth and hoard wealth as if we are permanent residents here! A great poem Kavya!
