The Necklace Poem by Maureen Pickford

The Necklace

Jewellery box
In the Charity Shop
Left bereft
Heart wrenched out
Necklace gone
Shameful theft.

There it dangles
Your neck it might strangle
For it's cursed
Forever
Unlucky
Maybe worse.
