The Mother Does Grieve Poem by Francis Duggan

The Mother Does Grieve

Rating: 5.0

What has happened has happened and what is done is done
But the mother is left for to grieve for her son
He died by police guns on a December day
He did not deserve to die in such a way
Lets face it so little of life he had seen
He was just a boy he was only fifteen
In confrontations with the police things happen suddenly
The one for to judge them it will not be me
That the mother is angry with the police she has a right to be
Her son in the flesh she will never more see
Worse people than he was not even serving jail time
To be angry with the World was his only crime
I will not judge though others on this had their say
But the mother does grieve for her dead boy today
