The Most Beautiful Diversity Poem by Jennifer Colyne Hall

The Most Beautiful Diversity

I roused to a day of diversity
The familiar feeling,
yet unaware
The most beautiful emerald mist
Swirling at my feet
A happy place,
feel the warmth prick your skin
Discomforts, bringing me euphoria
I know her well;
she's a long lost friend
Euphoria, where have you been?
As shards of happiness shoot
through my veins like a rocket
Melting into dreams of nolstagia,
gimme more
The dark of the night
lights up this toffee dwelling
I see before me
a fluttering little soul
Are you a fairy?
I'm sorry little fairy
observing wings,
bright beautiful colors,
stunning.....
Intoxicating wind,
being drawn against,
stealing my breath
Blowing my mind,
leaving me dizzy and clueless
Charming fairies in bubbles,
floating all around me
Each one isolated in lonely bubbles
tiny, adorable, emerald fairy dancing.....
Spotlight, feel the heat
don't trip
fairyland is like a fantasy
Pop the bubble, free flyin'
not one worry
Glitter drops
massive from above,
everybody trip
Let go, my heart runs away
with the beam
Feel the rhythm, escape
Fall into an exhausted heap,
the high was real,
not a reverie
Leaving behind a beam
of trajectory glitter
