The Moon, The Bride Poem by Abdul Wahab

The Moon, The Bride

Rating: 5.0

Today I shall tell you
As the flower tells the butterfly
On the night of honeymoon
The secrets of my life
Extravagant and luxurious
I had led just to influence you
The stunning beauty
What you had seen on my face
during the fortnight
was under the paint of silvery light
taken on rent
before marriage I was on debt trap
to the sun

I should tell you one more truth
Before you find on your own self
the symbol of ignominy
The black spot on my back
Given on the day
While playing hide and sick
Behind the cloud, jet black
For this reason, too
Some calls me a witch
Some calls a bloody moon

Please forgive and forget
I am here stands my true self
Before you as your faithful bride.

every love is making his way to tell the true and to take off what he borrowed to shine and to show his naked beauty to his loved one/ every great painted work of love thanks

Self-revealing and self-analysing, the composition is highly symbolic. In neat metaphors you have told the whole story. It's right even the moon has some blemishes.

these words are looking into your soul and revealing the true nature of the man. Very revealing, but none is perfect. A wonderful metaphor of life.
