The Moon Has Waned Poem by Ben Partenay

The Moon Has Waned

Rating: 5.0

no moon tonight
this earth is black
as the corners of
deep shadows,

oak trees cover
streetlights, your hands
cover the stars, I
trace nothing shapes

the sun sunk down
with your goodbye
it is a good night
to fly, Icharus

should have waited
for a night
with no moon

Stellar. Love how you bring it back to the beginning, title, opening line with the close. you have a way of turning ordinary to extraordinary. best care, sjg
