The Moon And You Poem by Lee McVicar

The Moon And You

There are two celestial bodies that I cherish everyday,
Constants in my hectic life, that cause my heart to sway,
Like the tides of Bay of Fundy as they serge and heave and swell,
Those two celestial bodies that I've come to know so well.

One celestial body comes to visit me at night,
It watches close and dances long, like feathers caught in flight,
It fills my soul in darkness, and always makes me swoon,
I don't know what I'd ever do without my blessed moon.

The second heavenly body comes to visit me in day,
With lips so soft and eyes so deep, I feel I float away,
My life would never be complete without my loves so true,
My two celestial favorites, for they are the moon and you.
