The Monster Words - 'I'M Sorry'

Just the thought of the monster words
brings a chill down my spine
causing my heart to palpitate
and drops of sweat to break out on my brow

Everytime I try to release those monster words, they choke me
they'd have a shifting spanner-like grip on my throat
making it difficult for me to breathe
even the world's strongest crane can't make them budge

They jumped on Uncle Derek's throat when he was caught in
an uncompromising position with his secretary
resulting in his marriage going down the drain
their fear overwhelmed Aunt Betty, now she's unemployed

Like a whip on the back of a plough-ing beast
their pain strikes one's heart - when one tries to release them
resulting in one substituting them with anger
making a diarrhoea of words squirt out of one's mouth

I'd rather dig my bottom dollar out of my pocket
and buy you flowers than say, 'I'm sorry'
or baby sit and do the dishes everytime you go out
than say those monster words

The monster words get their strength
and ability to choke from the mountain of pride
if we level the mountain of pride
then it won't be hard to say, 'I am sorry'
If you agree with me lift both your hands up!
