The Monetized Mind

To some souls
Life is all business

To some souls
Life is all heart

And the divide between them
Shall keep them far apart

No greater void shall curse thy mind
Than your hollow heart

Completely disconnected
From the rest of human kind

To monetize the gifts
Of every waking hour

Is but the road to shame
Is not the road to power

Standing in the rain
Soaked in natures showers

Can you feel their pain
From your ivory tower

Here's my proposition
Let true value shine

In the worth of others
In your love for all mankind
