The Missing Piece Poem by Lesley Merrin

The Missing Piece

The missing piece, found.
Relieved.
It clicked into place
It made the picture whole, complete.

We searched and searched
Despondent
Finally found.
It could have been in a myriad of places
It was in the envelope
With the invitation.

You were my missing piece,
You clicked into place,
You made me whole.
My life complete.

Lesley, I love this poem, it says so much in so few carefully chosen words. The odds against finding the missing piece and the picture remaining incomplete is an apt metaphor on the difficulty in finding the exact right person to complete you and make your life complete. Well done my friend.
