The day when I hold you

Staring at the wall;
She was all doom and gloom
But barely expressional.

But an existence,

How enigmatic you are!
You can't be touched
But can be sensed,
As if a phantom existence.

I am nature's painting
On the biggest canvas of all;
You find me soaring
Through air, above all.

I was sunk in thought,
Thought of the glorious past
Of that harsh sandy terrain
I stood upon.

Flowers, when tossed
In the morning breeze;
In its beauty I am lost
And my vision comes to a freeze.

You are in every thought that I think;
Like a celestial nymph haunting me in dreams,
You remain so tantalizing with your gleams,
Though last unto I awake and blink.

What exists in between
My image and shadow,
To fathom even I need to throw
The light of introspection upon it.

The road seems to test
The strength of traveler's stride,
With the enraged sun above
Like a demonic adversary.
