The Messenger Poem by Sandhya S.N

The Messenger

Rating: 5.0

She wrote a loving note to him
With dreamful heart
Her warming love
To her eternal unseen love
Living in an unknown land

She scribbled it in loving letters
In an unknown language plain
And got it embedded in a scarf
A pretty scarf with strange colours
And painted with her splendid dreams

She wrote those words with warmth in heart
And lighted it with twinkling stars
And she fetched an envoy dear
To express her to unknown dear

She pleaded the singing cuckoo
Swing and sing in banyan trees
Performing the art of love in delight
To be her dear messenger of love

But it denied the dear mission
Mission of love and loving hearts
For she might forget the tune
The tune of love, in her sing

She appealed the floating clouds
To be her dear herald of heart
But it denied her loving might
For they themselves are in search
The search for their beloved mates
Roaming in deep solitude
In those tropical green forests

She requested twinkling stars
To be her dear messenger of dreams
But they denied at once in choir
‘We can’t, we won’t apart from here
As we live for those children
Sleeping in their lovely dreams
In the laps of their dear moms’

She felt on edge, all at once
To fetch a messenger of her heart
Then she saw one with a smile
It is no one, the gleaming sun

He accepted mission at once
And started for in glowing glee
From his charming hut in east
To his inn, the western sea

The poem reminds one a lot of the classic Megadoodh. A fine melodious poem. Angel
