The Mantis Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

The Mantis

The mantis wore a pair of boots
Bought a wooden flute
And tried to play a merry tune.
A tune, a tune, a tune
He tried to play a merry tune.

But what he could pick up
Were boos, jeers and hoots
And that made him
Jump out of his boots
His boot! His boot! His boots!
And that made him
Jump out of his boots!
