The Magic Of Our Dreams Poem by G J Salgado

The Magic Of Our Dreams

I fell upon my knees today
On the holiest of days
When I wrote this song I thought of you
Then I knew that you'd finally know the truth
So I lit a candle to remember
Of the times we spent in November
When the air was cold and grey
All I thought about was you and I in the rain
At the time I knew you were heaven sent
I still know your face and your scent
Events of what was lost and who were found
I knew that we were forevermore and gravity bound
Serenity had seen us once again
In a kingdom of a magical land
As I saw your face for the last time that day
I woke up to find it was the next year in May
But soon I discovered that something was very different from before
We had changed through the years and we danced below the ocean floor
Under the seas of who we saw ourselves to be
Told our secrets and our dreams of pure tranquility
We spoke of things no one else could understand
I looked into your starry eyes and then you took my hand
Magical dreams and wonderful things
We were everything we ever wanted to be
It was all that we'd knew it'd be
No more tears or tragedy
You became a part of the celestial heavens and the moon
I was a part of the atmospheres magic and I became the best part of you
