The Magic Of Carrousels Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

The Magic Of Carrousels

It was grand,
I watched the eyes
Of children sparkle again.
The adults segregated themselves,
But on this day the children, put
Cares of the world aside.
Latch keys and prejudices were
Stashed somewhere else
While they enjoyed the carrousels
Together.
