The Mad Haters Tea Party Poem by Tom Higgins

The Mad Haters Tea Party

I'm gonna have a tea party,
and I will only invite,
those of you who think like me,
and who with me will unite,
in their contempt for the poor,
who we believe are parasites,
and that if you have no money,
then you should have no rights.
No we don't wanna pay taxes,
to be squandered on health care,
for those who don't contribute,
who never pay their share!
No matter that they can't find work,
that matters not a jot,
they ain't tryin'hard enough,
by god I'm sure they're not!
Yes I'm havin' me a tea party,
for all who agree with me,
that poor people are sad losers,
who don't deserve to be,
living in our proud nation,
where the greenback calls the shots,
and the haves feel anger and frustration,
at giving anything to the have nots!
