The Look Of Silence In Your Eyes Poem by Ernest Hazvi Maengamhuru

The Look Of Silence In Your Eyes

It was a bleak awakening for me when I saw its rays;
the thought that caught me off-guard then i lost hold of the whole picture;
when I perceived the look of silence in your eyes;
a look that warned me of a thousand impossibilities in tincture.
Though I sought for reasons in oblivion, i might have
been intimidated into hesitance,
when I saw the look of silence in your eyes.

The words I read,
when I perceived the look of silence in your eyes were somewhat true;
There is no bargaining for companionship- yes you were right.
I then thought it over and over -and got my journey begun before I saw dusk,
For, the best that I ever did was to imagine companionship with you.
but the end was sudden and riotous yet it could have been right;
when I perceived the look of silence in your eyes.
