The Long Day Is Waning

Rating: 5.0

THE LONG DAY IS WANING

The long day is waning
And I am waning with it-

What kind of day it has been
It is not easy to say
It is still going on,
But I am waning
And it is waning with me
And sooner than I now believe
It will be over -

How can I let it have passed so quickly?
How can I let it have passed without doing
What I should have done?
What I wanted to do?

It‘s too late now-
And all my courage will not stretch it out-
The day is waning and I am waning with it
And soon it will be gone and I with it.
